![]() ![]() As the title suggests, lyrically this album deals with various issues related to how society, culture, technology, religion, politics etc. The crazy thing is that we get along perfectly when we´re in writing mode. From Seventh Wonder I bring a progressive touch to all my drum parts, Petri (Eternal Oath) is an unparallelled power riff-maestro, Timo refuses to compromise with his signature vocal melodies and harmonies, while the “new guys” introduce the elements of blues AND death. ![]() At first we were almost scared of our individual musical differences, but as we started writing we realized that they were in fact our greatest strengths. From "Betrayed" to the slithering "Awaken" and all points circling around, "All Crumbles Down" has a ‘been there, done that' texture that doesn't elevate or connect on any visceral/ emotional level. Everything from Alice in Chains and Nevermore to Disturbed came up when I took in these 11 songs- and not in a good way. Faceshift hail from Sweden and perform in an American-ized way: down tuned guitars, power grooves galore, and melodic vocals more in line with modern rock radio than anything super heavy. The second album "All Crumbles Down" is a modern heavy metal record that occasionally veers into doomy territory. ![]()
